Consider Upright Vacuum Cleaner For Ease Of Use

If you are planning to replace your sweeper and thinking about an upright vacuum cleaner there are some available features you may want to look into that can make your cleaning life a little easier. Of course, the size of the area you will be vacuuming will play a big role in your decision, as will your budget.

There are several makes and models of upright vacuum cleaners on the market all hoping to lure your interest with new features, new colors and some old features that people have ignored in the past. Power is one of the first features to look at if you are in the market for a new upright vacuum cleaner. Typically, a vacuum rating is in amps, between 3.9 and 12, with a common rule of thumb being the higher the amps, the better the power and usually, the higher the price.

There is also the feature of bag or bagless, with an upright vacuum cleaner using paper or fiber bags in which to catch the dirt, or bagless, which sends the dirt into a cylinder to be disposed of later. Either type of upright vacuum cleaner has to use some sort of filtering system to prevent the dirt you vacuum from the floor from blowing back out into the room. Some of the more expensive upright vacuum cleaners use a true-HEPA filtering system with claims that it removes dust particle as small as .3 microns from the air as you vacuum.

Consider Useful Attachments

Many brands of an upright vacuum cleaner offer on-board attachments such as furniture brushes, crevice tools or corner attachments while others offer cleaning heads that get extremely close to walls, which benefits those with wall-to-wall carpeting. Before you buy an upright vacuum cleaner based on the number of attachments, consider how often you will actually use them.

You may want to ask yourself if the extra money for being able to vacuum the ceiling corners is worth it, or will you continue to use the feather duster to pull down the small dust webs that often form there. You can also the benefits of an upright vacuum cleaner that reaches right to the wall or the use of a corner attachment to sweep along the edge of your rug. Look at the outer edge of the vacuum head to se if there is a bumper that will not damage your furniture if you bump into it while cleaning.

Since an upright vacuum cleaner can cost from under $50 up to over $1,000 you will want to choose wisely and buy the best upright vacuum cleaner for your home use that your budget can afford.
