Day Care Center Wet Dry Vacuum

By Tony Cunningham

I did a Google search for a wet dry vacuum for use in a day care center. I was surprised to find three scholarly articles written on this topic. When there are scholarly articles about something, the Google website will situate them at the top of the search results.

The first scholarly article about a wet dry vacuum for use in a day care center was published in 2004 in a publication called Indoor Air. The article was entitled "Molds in floor dust and building-related symptoms in adolescent school children". It was written by six different people. They were H.W. Meyer, H. Wuertz, P. Suadicani, O. Valbjoem, T. Sigsgaard and F. Gyntelberg.

The second scholarly article about a wet dry vacuum for use in a day care center was entitled "Evaluation of methods for monitoring the potential exposure of small children to pesticides in the residential environment". This article was written in 1994 and was published in the Archives of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology. The three authors were R.G. Lewis, R.C. Fortmann and D.E. Camann.

The last scholarly article about a wet dry vacuum for use in a day care center did not make sense as a scholarly article. The referenced work was written by Barbara Ehrenreich in 2002. This was actually a book and not an article and it was published by Owl Books.

The title of the book written by Barbara Ehrenreich is "Nickel and Dimed: On(Not) Getting by in America". This book tells the story of what a privileged and articulate writer experienced when she attempted to live as an "unskilled" working class person. She spent time in Key West, Maine and Minnesota holding down jobs as a waitress, nursing home aide, cleaning woman, and Wall-Mart "associate." The author attempted to live on the wages these jobs paid and chronicled her journey.
